Inugami Yuuto

I've only ever drawn Yuuto once (and that was a horrible sketch of blinding hurrrgh), so it's nice to see him finally realized c: Yuuto is an ordinary human, so he has no other forms to shift into...OR DOES HE.

Special Abilities: Nothing out of the ordinary except for his exceptional memory.

 

Personality: Yuuto is a quiet person who normally keeps to himself. He works as a writer of fantasy novels that have recently become popular. He is dedicated to what he does and gets agitated if anything disturbs his daily routines. One such disturbance is Anya, but after a time Yuuto comes to trust her even though she is a Dreameater. Yuuto doesn't often go out and sometimes comes across as a stick in the mud. Anya constantly challenges all aspects of his static life, something that Yuuto is secretly grateful for. Although he has no special or magical power, he supports her as best he can.

 

Background: Even before meeting Anya, Yuuto knew and believed in the existence of spirits and demons. He had a normal life and managed to get a decent job to support himself. However, Yuuto began to have the crazy idea that his fantastical and well written stories were memories. He noticed people reading his books in public were very strange indeed - people who he imagined to have slitted eyes, people with tails, people who were actually spirits. Doubting his sanity and his ability to write, Yuuto took a vacation to the far off countryside to try and sort things out. Instead, he met and helped Anya escape from a mysterious research facility. She reveals to him that at some point, Yuuto was also a spirit or demon, possibly an Inugami (dog god). Now hunted by the researchers, Yuuto works with Anya to try and put a stop to their work - and struggles with the past and present as a possible Inugami.

 

Strengths: Ability to work under pressure, listens well to others, rational thinking

 

Weaknesses: Can be stubborn, is very critical of himself, too focused on others and not himself, can fall into depression easily

 

- Yuuto owns a car which he takes out for weekly groceries, often with Anya in tow.

 

- He's pretty bad at hiding embarassment, something which Anya and Hibana exploit.

 

- He is cautious with other spiritual beings, but would never admit he does enjoy visiting the cafe Hibana and Tenka work at (gawd it needs a name).

 

- Likes to wear sweater vests and scarves.

 

- When annoyed, Anya steals Yuuto's glasses and forces him to chase after her - a terrifying feat inside a cramped apartment, as Anya's fox form sweeps and destroys most everything with a single turn.
